Aura

(Courtesy of http://www.meetup.com/kcesotericknowledge/calendar/9406937/)
Some see it, many do not. The aura is a field of radiation (vibration) surrounding a body, directly linked with certain processes. The aura, usually in the form of an oval, extends 1 to 3 feet and can be seen as a series of colors, which change once a person changes consciously, emotionally, or biologically. Those who are spiritually advanced, healthy, and have pure intentions have clearer, brighter auras than those who are ill or have negative intentions.
Though the aura is usually an oval,  spiritual practice can turn it into a halo over the head (depicted in many religious pictures of Christ and Buddha).
The ability to see auras is in all of us; nature gave us everything we need to see them---our eyes. The thing is, children (up to 5 years) are able to see auras automatically. They use it as a way to see who is spiritually sound and who is not (even if they don’t understand the technicalities). An infant cries when it meets a person with a dull, dark aura.
As children age, they notice that adults do not have this ability and that they ignore it, resulting in the child’s forgetting.
Seeing auras is important for us because the ability allows us to see the true nature of individuals; it shows what a person really thinks, despite whether he or she frequently smiles or frowns.
With mastery of aura reading comes the ability to understand the person’s thoughts, emotions, and state of physical well being, as well as how far they have progressed spiritually.
If everyone had this ability, everyone would know a lie when they came across one, eventually eliminating the idea; doctors could asses the exact problem of a patient; leaders would be elected based on the purity of their aura; people would work to clear their minds of negative thoughts and to empower their auras.
It’s obvious why seeing auras is beneficial to humanity.

Reacquiring the skill of aura reading may take extensive practice; for others it may happen automatically. Whatever the case, the rewards are too great an opportunity to miss.
    Here’s how to see them:
Look at an object, any object (if your looking at your computer screen, look at the words). I recommend looking at something a few yards away (It’s easier for me to see auras the farther the object is.) Also, if it is a large object, it helps to look at the edge, as that is where the aura will appear.
Make sure that the object is in a warmly lit room, in front of a white or lightly colored wall (as the color of the wall can interfere with the results---since colors have auras as well.) Now just look at the object---don’t focus on it---the more you strain your eyes the harder it will be to see the aura. Just relax and try to look “through” the object, as though it isn’t there.
In anywhere between a few seconds to several minutes you will be able to see a glow around the object. When this happens, do not strain your eyes, do not focus on the glow. It is an instinct that must be controlled, for when you strain your eyes the aura will disappear.
This glow will form into a color.
If you are able to see, congratulations. It is truly a beautiful experience. If you are not able to see, congratulations for trying---you are already ahead of the game. And remember, it is the act, not the accomplishment, where we learn the most.
Now, you may find that reading the auras of colors is easier. There are 4 colors below. Apply the same concept I have given above and use it to read the aura of each color. Each has a fixed aura, meaning it is always the same. Below the colors I listed the aura that each color produces.

Red gives turquoise aura, turquoise gives red aura
Orange gives blue aura, blue gives orange aura
Yellow gives violet aura, violet gives yellow aura
Green gives pink aura, pink gives green aura

(I understand that highlighting the color will make it the color of the associated aura, but I assure you that seeing the aura involves only the eyes and brain, no clicking and highlighting. Plus, once you can see the auras of objects, it will be proof enough that auras are real.)
If you’re anxious to see your own aura, find a mirror and stand against a lightly colored wall. It is easier to see your aura the farther away you stand from the mirror, which is why using a large, fixed mirror like the one in the bathroom is best.
Now just relax your eyes and look around your head. Seeing your aura is no different than seeing an object’s aura. Keep in mind that the color of your aura always changes based on your conscious, emotions, and biology. The ideal aura to strive for is a golden or crystal clear halo around the head. If you find that your aura is dull and dark, this is okay. It will change once you start clearing and empowering yourself. Also, many of the auras you will see around people are dull and dark, a symptom of the stress seeping throughout our daily lives.
Here is a list of exercises to clean and charge your aura:
Meditation. This is essential. The reason why so many auras are dull is because of our social environment. Many of the things we do affect our health---relationships, jobs, diet---and also affect our aura. Fear, jealousy, anger, hate, stress, depression---all of these weaken the aura. Meditation clears all this, thus clearing the aura.
Healthier food. Diet is the largest factor of health. The more junk one consumes, the more negative the impact. A little dessert isn’t bad, but a burger and fries everyday slowly kills the body and dulls the aura. Vegetables and fruits everyday, water instead of soda, and home cooked meat will have a tremendously positive impact on health. The aura will brighten and clear as a result.
White light. This may be the easiest of the techniques. Simply sit and relax. Close your eyes and breath deeply, feeling your muscles loosen. Then imagine a white ball of light within your abdomen expand to every point of your body. Afterwards, visualize this white light expand out of your body and into your aura, clearing any negative energy and enhancing it with positive energy. Visualize the white light brightening the aura and     strengthening it. Then make the white light act as a shield, blocking negative energy and allowing only positive energy to enter. Do this periodically throughout the day.
Matching your environment. Though your aura changes, it does have a dominant color, one that you can see every time you read your aura. Wear clothes that match your aura, either the same color or the associated color (see the list above). If you tend to wear  black frequently, wear a white colored shirt and see if you feel any different that  day  Black and grey clothes tend to tire the wearer.
Solfeggio frequencies. These beautiful frequencies, of which there are 18, have tremendous healing benefits---physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Each  frequency has its own affect, but all will help clear the aura.
